I'm setting out on this path much more confidently than I expected to. The key is that I now have time & headspace to absorb, play & explore. In the past ICT has always been associated with pressure to up-skill in order to carry out yet another part of an ever-expanding job - with stress when things go wrong & one feels inadequate because one has to ask for help (& is often made to feel inadequate).

Today I have worked out for myself how to re-set my password (small steps) and how to become a follower of Bryce's Blog - something I have been intending to do, but which got lost in the day-to-day busyness.

On-line Teaching & teacher PD??? - still rather wary of this whole area - will be a grerat shame if it replaces face-to-face contact.

ePortfoilios??? - sound great! This fits with my philosophy of how we learn & embed that learning through reflection. Plus it will force me to become more IT literate. Sounds like it is being adopted by TCS, so an incentive to up-skill.

Careers Conference - "Unleashing Potential" - fabulous! I have come back buzzing, & seriously considering positioning myself in the Careers area - who knows where it may lead???

A potential problem with blogging & ICT PD is that I would love to keep going with this right now - but my core bsuiness calls. How did we get towards the end of the term so quickly!

Getting Started!

Setting a time on my calendar is going to be essential to make sure my ICT PD happens - too easy to get bogged down in the day-to-day job otherwise. Thanks to Maggie I am now a "blogger".
